Should VIP International Security Be Discreet or Visible?

VIP international security services are in increased demand. In an uncertain world, high-profile individuals require more protection from a rising number of threats.

Hacked and breached data is a concern for many VIPS. This can reveal places a VIP frequently visits, as well as scheduled appointments and sensitive addresses. In 2020, during the pandemic, these types of data breaches escalated, with the details of 10.6m hotel guests who stayed at luxury MGM resorts leaked.

This was followed by the discovery of an unsecured database which exposed the details of 235 million Instagram, TikTok and YouTube users profiles.  Each of these type of leaks increases the threat to the personal safety of VIP’s, beyond known public appearances into their day-to-day activities.

Global security firms are being asked to provide two types of VIP international security services to counter this.

Discreet security solutions

If the VIP has consistent security concerns and would like to pursue daily life without an encroaching security presence, discreet security solutions should be employed. A Close Protection Officer in this instance will blend in with the public and be trained to act rapidly and assuredly if a potential threat is spotted or intervention is required.

Visible security solutions

This option is best suited for high-profile clients who have had serious threats made to them, or whose status requires visible security solutions to deters potential assailants. It is also a wise option for those expecting hostility at a given event or appearance, where security can become a physical ‘barrier’ between the VIP and public.

Each of these options can be tailored to an individual’s particular needs and circumstances. No task is the same, and confidentiality is essential. To find your VIP International security solution, contact the Trident Security team today.
